A few days ago, nucor steel's Arkansas branch said it would build a special cold-rolling steel plant at its Blytheville integrated steel plant in Arkansas, at a cost of about $230 million. The new cold-rolling plant has expanded the company's automotive steel capacity, helping to increase the company's automotive steel market share.

Nucor has approximately 27,000 employees, 25 steel mills and more than 300 production facilities throughout North America. The company's new cold-rolling mill employs about 100 new workers.

The company currently has four plants in Arkansas, nucor Arkansas, nucor daiwa, Calstrip Arkansas and Skyline Steel, employing about 1,800 people. (From Csteel)
